January
We began the year with our Installation of New Officers Luncheon. Lt Col Bob Horton began his year as President ably assisted by Col Bob Gifford and Capt Andy Haskell. Looks like the beginning of an exciting year.

February
An inspiring talk by Iraq wounded warrior Noah Gallaway was a real highlight of our year.


March
We were delighted to welcome the "base commander" of Maxwell to update us on activities at this important installation.

April
The Air University Commander Lt Gen Al Peck was our guest speaker for May. He gave us a great talk on the direction of the Air Force and Air University.

May 2011
Dr Adam Lowther, a professor at the Air War College gave us an interesting and challenging talk on the future of our national strategy. Dr Lowther stayed to answer many questions from the audience.

July 2011
Our July luncheon was a real highlight. Not only did we award our annual scholarship to Taylor Kaitlin Reeves, but our guest speaker was the President of MOAA National, Admiral Norb Ryan. Admiral Ryan's remarks were outstanding and we had a near record crowd.


August 2011
As always, the annual BBQ is a big hit...great food, good company, ardent spirits!


October 2011
We were fortunate to have Congressman Martha Roby, 2nd Congressional District, Alabama as our October Guest Speaker.


November 2011
1st Lt Brian Hicks, a wounded warrior, was an inspiring speaker for our November Luncheon.
On Veterans Day, several members of MAC MOAA marched in the Montgomery Veterans Day Salute Parade.



December 2011
At the December Luncheon we elected new officers and heard an outstanding talk from Dr Thomas Dolan, Chairman of the Political Science Department at Columbus State University in Georgia.
