The Montgomery Retired Officers Scholarship Foundation annually awards a scholarship to a deserving Montgomery area high school senior.
The 2011 MOAA Scholarship Program is closed. Details for the 2012 Scholarship Program should be released in February 2012
MAC MOAA 2011 Scholarship
The Montgomery Retired Officers Scholarship Foundation will award its annual scholarship in the amount of approximately $5,5000 to a deserving high school senior in the Montgomery area. MAC MOAA intends this scholarship to provide an individual with a cash award to assist in paying the cost of continuing education after high school and to reward excellence and hard work. All applicants must meet the following requirements:
1. Applicants must reside in the area served by MAC MOAA; specifically Montgomery, Autauga, Elmore or Lowndes counties in Alabama.
2. Applicants cannot be the recipients of a full four-year scholarship from any other source.
3. Male applicants 18 years of age or older must show evidence of having registered for Selective Service.
4. Applicants must maintain at least 75% of the school's perfect Grade Point Average (GPA) and upon his or her apparent excellent character and personal qualities. Abuse of alcohol or drugs will result in immediate revocation of the scholarship award.
5. Winner must agree to accept this award in person at a scheduled MAC MOAA meeting.

Applicants must have completed all necessary forms and submitted the application, with all necessary supporting documents, in the number of copies set forth in the announcement by the deadline. The deadline for the 2010 Scholarship is no later than April 15, 2010.
A panel of judges will select the scholarship winner. The Selectee will be notified by mail together with the time and place of the award presentation. The scholarship money will be sent to and administered by the college in which the selectee is enrolled.
